Barcelona Cultura

Art, science & technology

One of the goals of the Science, Technology and Innovation Festival is to attract new visitors and one way of doing so is through the arts. Along these lines, the festival will offer art shows, workshops, performances, interventions, installations and art works in different venues around the city which have no connection to science. By spreading across into these venues, the aim is to broaden citizens’ imaginary with various burning issues in which science and technology are central. We’ll address a number of scientific disciplines by means of several activities set up in public and cultural venues such as Barcelona Contemporary Culture Centre (CCCB), Barcelona Contemporary Art Museum (MACBA), El Born Centre Cultural, Picasso Museum and Barcelona History Museum (MUHBA). The projects selected enjoy broad international recognition.
